Pro/E Consultation: Level 2 CEP

We have attained CEP level 2 mechanical certification from PTC, and are capable of assisting Pro/E users with the efficient application of Pro/E in mechanical design. Let us know your problem, and we can probably assist in any number of ways, including but not limited to:

Level 2 is the highest mechanical design certification presently possible from PTC; there are only approximately 30 level 2 CEP's in the world.

Pro/E Drawing Formats

Clear, clean plotting drawing formats available for Pro/E

Sample Parts and Assemblies

For a Pro/Program sample part, this connectors' contact count 4 SocketConnector Header can be easily changed; when the part is regenerated, a prompt for the number of contacts appears, and Pro/Program modifies part parameters to make the part regenerate with the desired number of contacts. That instance can then be added to a family table by the use of "instantiate". The program is a very simple one; click on the part picture to download the zip file, and when the part is brought up in Pro/E, the menu picks program|edit design will bring up the Pro/Program design file. Since the design is commented, it is easy to see the logic of this simple program.

Config.pro Tips

New to Pro/E? Looking for tips and recommendations? We have developed some methodologies that save a lot of time during the modeling phase. An example of our approach is this mapkey file R20 config.pro for R20 and later versions.

Experienced users should note the "ALLOW_ANATOMIC_FEATURES yes" config.pro entry, which allows evaluate datum, ears and several other features back into the command structure.

There is a lot there, so you may want to print it and review it later; you could also download the R20 text file version of our config.pro.

If you are using or considering using Pro/E, send us an e-mail outlining your situation and we may be able to save you some time in getting up to speed.
